Here is a little bit of a challenge offered to the patient:
I used to preach using ‘scribbled’ notes. Writing down just enough to trigger the subject in my mind, as I depended on God to accomplish what seemed good to Him, through the preaching.
I came to realise that these notes became somewhat redundant, as sometimes, perhaps a long time later, I couldn’t recall the theme or content of the sermon, due to their brevity, or lack of clarity.
So I mostly write-out my sermons now, departing from, or sticking with the ‘script’, as I sense I should or shouldn’t at the time of preaching.
So see what you can make of this pdf of ‘ancient’ notes from the past. See if you can get the points!
