Poetic Interruption II

After this short poem, it will be time to interrupt my interruptions, ’til next time down the line.

 

ACHIEVIN’

It was ‘some achievement’

Everyone could see that

“Was there more to life than this?”

He asked himself – on a daily basis

He had reached an oasis

Become expert at his trade

Time to move on – perhaps make the grade

In another sphere – or remain here?

If he left he would shed a tear

Or two – saying goodbye to you

You are the apple of his eye

To change this – he couldn’t

As much as he did try

You remained his hidden reason
