This blogging thing…
I don’t know about anyone else, but I am well past the ‘new fangled-ness’ of blogging.
Past the ‘what must I do to improve the spread of my posts’.
I have never made much effort in the promotion department.
I know it is a recurring topic with some bloggers, how to get the hits, the likes, the comments, the thumbs up etc.
There are of course, blogs on how best to blog.
But I’m afraid I have settled into an average eleven-likes syndrome, and reception of the odd comment.
I’m kind of resigned to the idea that whoever needs to, will stop by.
As a matter of interest when I show my paintings I will get the most likes. Rightly or wrongly I put this down to the readers needing the least amount of effort when deciding to hit the like button.
All that is needed is a few momentary glances at a painting, and bam! Moving on already to another blogger.
Those who are hungry for God’s truth, I hope will find Christian feeding on seedsinmotion, and those who like words for words sake might find a few poems to enjoy. Accessible ones, and not so accessible, fun poems, serious poems, Christian message poems, quirky poems.
Paintings?
Intuitive paintings, abstract, semi-abstract, naturalistic, expressionistic, designs, the descriptive terms could go on…
As I am writing this, I’m thinking it should be an ‘About’ – but when I look at my statistics (I look at these once in a blue moon) – I seem to have 728 followers (I thought it was more, but haven’t looked for a year or two). I guess we can lose followers – is that right?
And as I do not often ‘follow back’, that would be no surprise 😍.
So this blogging thing, – well – we just must – isn’t that right…?
Yep. That about sums it up. Have a great day in the Lord!

Thanks for commenting – I guess we all have our own ideas about how we spend our time – priorities etc.

I love this painting because it has so much to offer. The use of felt tips to create various lines in size and shape, giving the painting movement and interest. I’m not much into abstract art, but this one really speaks to me.

Thanks – I’m quite ‘eclectic’ in my tastes and practice, when it coms to painting.

Oh, and yes we blog because we must, just as we must create through many means. It’s part of who we are.
